Just a few seconds into pressing play, Zeke's voice and flow is reminiscent of Lupe Fiasco and Kanye West. The story of "Self Destruct" starts off with light-hearted party energy over a fast-paced & fun boom bap beat, then transitions into a skit, and ends with some sobering thoughts. Zeke describes his song 'Self Destruct' as a "4 minute cinematic journey of a guy who considers himself a player which ends up causing him to do things that ultimately leads to his demise." Overall, I think it's a quality track that tells a familiar and relatable story: boy is a player, boy meets girl, the two hook up, boy realizes his mistakes. This particular track by Zeke gives me early Drake meets Jack Harlow. I do have to say that this song also got me interested in seeing more of Zeke's work and I was thoroughly impressed! This man has a large mix of projects and tracks in his discography, and seems to have started to find his lane as a rising content creator especially on platforms like Tiktok and Instagram. If you're looking for some new flavor to add to your playlist, I highly suggest you check him out!
